1. Bridal-Party Pajamas Set the Tone

Matching, brightly colored PJs for your bridesmaids instantly create a “wow moment” and make the bride in white really pop. Ask your girls to wear coordinated sets in a punchy hue—your morning photos will feel fun and vibrant from the first click.

2. Give Details the Time They Deserve (40–60 min)

Plan at least 40 minutes—ideally a full hour—to photograph the dress, shoes, stationery, and surrounding décor. A relaxed window lets us style everything thoughtfully and capture the atmosphere of the day rather than just quick snapshots.

3. Fog Is Your Built-In Softbox

Monterey loves its midday marine layer. That gray backdrop eliminates harsh shadows and makes bright décor pop. Pack a clear umbrella and veil weights—just in case the ocean breeze picks up.

4. Couple Portraits: 30 min With a Mood Board

Because we shoot from a pre-agreed mood board, only half an hour of dedicated “just us” time is plenty. You’ll have space to breathe, enjoy each other, and still keep the timeline on track.

5. Go Bold on the Dance Floor

A mix of flash and slow shutter captures the party’s energy better than any video clip. Let your DJ know we’ll need a few minutes of moody lighting and colorful beams—your reception shots will look electric.
